Every Thursday we at Shuddha Herbs want to share some tried and tested recipes (with a few tweaks) that we love and make on a regular basis. We call these #RecipeThursdays why Thursdays? Because it’s close enough to the weekend where you’re motivated to give the recipe a go, while being far enough to give you time to buy the necessary ingredients 😉

So without further ado, check out on of our favourite healthy salad recipe that we make on a very regular basis. It’s delish!!

BEET & PEAR SALAD (6 servings) [Recipe inspired by the one on Tasty App]


  • 1 Pear, sliced
  • Mixed Greens, 5 oz
  • 3 Beets, cooked & sliced
  • ½ Red Onion sliced
  • ¾ Cup crumbled/chopped/broken walnuts
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. Thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste


  1. Toast/Roast the walnuts
  2. Mix & combine the lemon juice, water, honey, thyme, salt & pepper to make the dressing
  3. While whisking the dressing together with the ingredients in the previous step, pour in the oil slowly while whisking the dressing together
  4. Putting it together. In a salad bowl, layer the mixed greens, beet, pear, sliced onion, toasted walnuts & add the dressing
  5. Mix well and serve
